Manifesto Julian Rosefeldt, ACMI & AGNSW (2015)

Manifesto, starring Australian actor Cate Blanchett, debuted at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) in 2015.

Seeking to question the role of the artist in contemporary society, Blanchett inhabited thirteen separate personas, drawing on seminal texts within contemporary artists and art-forms, such as Claes Oldenburg, Yvonne Rainer, Kazimir Malevich, André Breton, Elaine Sturtevant, Sol LeWitt, Jim Jarmusch, among others.
